What is Nano PRP Jelly?

Nano PRP Jelly is a next-generation treatment that addresses the key limitations of traditional PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy. PRP has long been used for everything from cosmetic wrinkle treatment to cartilage-based joint defects, and while it is generally considered safe, its effectiveness has always been limited — and until now, steroids were the only real alternative.

Nano PRP Jelly changes that. It is based on Wharton’s Jelly, a collagen-based mesenchymal connective tissue, making it practically painless to administer. It can be used virtually anywhere you would previously have used PRP, delivered through any standard 25g–32g needle.

The cost of Nano PRP Jelly is $450 (cash pay). Following the injection, patients are placed in a walking boot for four weeks as part of the recovery protocol.

What are the advantages of Nano PRP Jelly over traditional PRP?

Traditional PRP therapy, while widely used, comes with a number of well-known drawbacks. Nano PRP Jelly was specifically designed to overcome these challenges:

  • No More Pain: Let’s face it — PRP hurts when injected. Nano PRP Jelly, derived from Wharton’s Jelly, is practically painless by comparison.
  • No More Inflammation: By definition, areas like the face, scalp, synovial joints, and intervertebral discs have never been exposed to blood. When PRP is injected, it acts as a foreign body and can result in tremendous inflammation. Nano PRP Jelly avoids this response entirely.
  • Greater Accessibility: Nano PRP Jelly can be administered practically anywhere PRP has previously been used, through any 25g–32g needle, making it a highly versatile treatment option.

What is Wharton’s Jelly and why is it used?

Wharton’s Jelly is a connective tissue found in the umbilical cord. It is primarily composed of mesenchymal stem cells and various extracellular matrix components, including collagen, chondroitin sulfate, hyaluronic acid, and sulfated proteoglycans. It boasts the highest concentration of mesenchymal stem cells per milliliter compared to other tissues rich in extracellular matrix components. Additionally, Wharton’s Jelly contains clinically significant growth factors, cytokines, and extracellular vesicles.

The advantages of Wharton’s Jelly stem from its abundant extracellular matrix components — including collagen types I, III, and V, elastin, and fibronectin — which serve as a natural scaffold that facilitates cellular adhesion. While it primarily provides cushioning and structural support, it also offers a natural source of long-chain hyaluronic acid and numerous cytokines and growth factors.

Notably, placental tissues like Wharton’s Jelly are considered “immune privileged,” meaning they have a low likelihood of triggering an immune response. This significantly reduces the risk of adverse reactions, making Nano PRP Jelly a safe and well-tolerated option for most patients.

Am I a candidate for Nano PRP Jelly?

Nano PRP Jelly may be a great option if you have previously been treated with PRP injections or are looking for a more comfortable, effective alternative to traditional injections. It is particularly well-suited for patients who have experienced pain or inflammation with conventional PRP therapy, or those who have not achieved the results they were hoping for.
